The Jamhouse

The unique Jam House concept began in 1999 as an amalgamation between Jools Holland and designer Neil Tibbatt. The partnership wanted to produce a night out which had elements of live music, fine dining and good times. The first Jam House venue opened in Birmingham on 23 April 1999, featuring its support maestro - TV presenter and pianist, Mr Jools Holland. The Jools Holland big band rocked the place on the opening night and continues to make occasional appearances at this exciting and unique venue. The Jam House has received tremendous press coverage from Central TV, Evening Mail, BBC, BBC Radio WM, Heart FM and many local magazines. The Jam House venues have an intimate atmosphere for live music, favouring the ‘unplugged’ feel with more contact between artists and members of the public. There are no futuristic, technological lighting effects, just simple theatrical style focused on the artist and providing a live entertainment experience. Located in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham, the Jam House occupies a traditional and Historic Georgian building with seating spread over three stylish yet informal airy floors, boasting a capacity for up to 600 people. The venue is split into three floors with an open plan design. You're never too far from the action! For dinner, freshly cooked international cuisine is served on the top floor, which seats over 80 people. This area is very popular for corporate events and social/business lunches. The Jam House caters for all party types and sizes - buffet and set menus are available for party bookings and corporate events. The atmosphere of the Jam House experience is relaxed, non-pretentious and female friendly. The staff at the bar, in the kitchen and on the stage are all aiming for total entertainment for the professional customers that regularly frequent this REAL venue. We have hosted jazz, blues and rock artists and has featured performances from Chaka Khan, The Stylistics, The Specials, The Beat, Steve Gibbons, Buddy Greco, Pato Banton, Paul Carrick and of course, Jools and his Rhythm ‘n’ Blues orchestra. Celebrity guests at the venue have included Bill Wyman, Ocean Colour Scene and many others.
